Rotary Joondalup is involved with, and planning a number of projects and activities that have an impact in the local and international community.

Active projects include:

  • Food Rescue at Lakeside Joondalup in partnership with St Stephens School, Uniting Care West and Lend Lease Lakeside. Some 30 food outlets are participating;

  • Bi annual Mullaloo beach clean-up.

  • Collecting spectacles and crutches, left behind at Lakeside and Whitfords Shopping Centres, for eventual donation to international programmes;

  • Supporting students at Boystown in Nampong, Khon Kaeng, Thailand;

  • Junior 4 Way Test Speech Competition involving Poseidon PS, Currambine PS and St Stephens PS in partnership with Toastmasters;

  • "Quiet Acheiver" Award at Currambine Primary School;

  • Involvement in fathering Project at Currambine PS and annual Water Fun Day at Poseidon PS;

  • Participation in a program to provide aid to those with hearing problems in Thailand; in partnership with Rotary Nedlands and Rotary Nakhon Khon Kaeng Thailand via a  Global Grant;

  • Bunnings sausage sizzle and other fundraisers;

  • Relationship with Joondalup City Probus Club;

  • Sponsoring children at Poseidon PS for the annual graduation ceremony.

Projects/activities currently being planned include:

  • Preparation of home cooked meals for distribution by  the Salvation Army Heathridge;

  • Establishment of a community garden in the Heathridge Salvation Army site;

  • Participation in the Senior Year 6 and 10 Rotary 4 Way Test Speech Competition;

  • An annual community family fun day focused on a treasure hunt at Mullaloo Beach.

  • Community Trivia/Bingo Nights

  • Special high-profile Guest Speaker Sundowners

  • Various annual awards to school student both primary and secondary.
