Rotary Joondalup is involved with, and planning a number of projects and activities that have an impact in the local and international community.

Active projects include:

  • Food Rescue at Lakeside Joondalup in partnership with St Stephens School, Salvation Army (Heathridge), RC Hillarys and RC Mindarie and Lend Lease Lakeside. Some 20+ food outlets are participating;

  • Intergenerational project with 3+ playgroup from Keiki (Kee Kee) Early Learning Mindarie and Keyton Harbourside Lifestyle Village volunteers each Friday;

  • Bi annual Mullaloo beach clean-up in association with CleanUp Australia and Tangeroa Blue;

  • Collecting spectacles and crutches, left behind at Lakeside and Whitfords Shopping Centres, for eventual donation to international programmes;

  • Home food preparation for distribution by the Salvation Army, Heathridge. Joint effort between RC Joondalup and RC Hillarys;

  • Supporting students at Boystown in Nampong, Khon Kaeng, Thailand;

  • Sponsoring children at Poseidon PS for the annual graduation ceremony;

  • Attendance at the Poseidon PS Anzac Day ceremony;

  • Presentation of the annual "Quiet Acheiver" Award at Currambine Primary School;

  • Supporting the LADDs (Loving and Devoted Dads) fathering Project at Currambine PS;

  • Sponsoring activities at the annual Water Fun Day at Poseidon PS;

  • Adjudication of the annual Speak Out Competition Finals at Poseidon PS;

  • Sponsorship of students for the National Youth Science Forum;

  • Bunnings sausage sizzle and other fundraisers  for local projects;

  • Sponsored the establishment of the Joondalup City Probus Club;

  • Working with our generous friends at Big W Joondalup to provide sewing machines for the mothers and grandmothers at Halls Creek. A task done in conjunction with Dandelions WA;

  • Again, together with donations from Big W at Joondalup, we were able to provide Dandelions WA essential school items for those students, from less fortunate families,  just starting the school year;

  • And most  importantly, ensuring that our members have a fun apsect to what we do and achieve by having regular social get togethers.

Projects/activities currently being planned include:

  • Participation in the Senior Year 6 and 10 Rotary 4 Way Test Speech Competition;

  • An annual community family fun day focused on a treasure hunt at Mullaloo Beach.

  • Fundraising through community Trivia/Bingo Nights.

  • Special high-profile Guest Speaker Sundowners

  • Various annual awards to school student both primary and secondary.

  • Establishment of a Community Garden within our area.
